To do so, our system assessment approach uses a combination of top-down (issues-driven) and bottom-up (direct observation) analysis conducted via workshops attended by relevant business process owners. More specifically, we seek to:
1) Identify and document stakeholder’s known key issues,
2) Observe current business practices as users enter sample key transactions (e.g. sales order, customer invoice, purchase order, payables invoice, manufacturing/ production order, journal entry, etc.) and
3) Review the current Dynamics GP/AX settings vs. best practices where applicable.
From this analysis, we identify performance improvement opportunities in the form of 'quick wins' and project recommendations along with implementation estimates for each.
